Frequently Asked Questions
We deliver! Deliveries are made nationwide every Tuesday (for rural addresses please read below).
We deliver to homes and businesses all over the country. Rural customers please refer to the details below.
Shipping starts from $12.50 for the South Island and $17.50 for the North Island. Orders over $275 will incur extra shipping costs.
Order by midnight on Thursday. Deliveries arrive the following Tuesday. If Monday or Tuesday are a public holiday, then our delivery day changes to a Wednesday for that week only.
When your order is collected from us by NZ Post, you will receive a tracking link where you can see the different scans as your order makes its way to you. This means you can keep track of your delivery & see updates on where your package is.
Please note: All our meals are made with fresh, locally grown ingredients and we need time to make it happen. Cutoff time for Tuesday delivery is midnight Thursday, so if you order between Friday and Tuesday, your order will arrive on Tuesday one whole week later.
Please note: We cannot cancel or refund orders after each order cut-off (midnight Thursday for the following Tuesday delivery).
While we are on an overnight service, there are times that orders miss their connections at the NZ Post depot. This means that orders can take up to 48 hours to arrive, so we have tested our packaging to ensure that it will keep meals cool enough to still be safe to eat if they are delivered a day late. Please note that although the ice packs will have melted, the temperature in the box will still be within safe limits. If there are frozen meals in your order, they may also have defrosted after this length of time.
We keep an eye on deliveries throughout the day and do our best to lodge enquiries with NZ Post on any that appear to be delayed. When there are delays in delivery, NZ Post endeavour to refrigerate parcels overnight, but it is not guaranteed that they will be - another reason why we have made sure that our packaging will keep the meals cool for 48 hours!
NZ Post has recently made changes to how perishable items can be delivered to rural areas. Rural agents can no longer accept perishable items, so we must use the rural delivery service, unless an alternative delivery address can be provided.
For rural addresses that receive standard mail delivery, we can send to your address, but the delivery may be a day late. This is because overnight delivery is not guaranteed for rural delivery routes. We recommend getting your orders delivered to an alternative non-rural address to ensure an overnight service. However, if you are happy to take the risk of your order being a day late, we can send to your rural address. The packaging is designed to stay below 5 degrees Celsius for at least 48hrs, so if the delivery is a day late, the meals will still be fine.
For rural addresses that don't receive standard mail delivery, you will need to provide an alternative address. To check if your address receives standard mail delivery or not, use the NZ Post Address & Postcode Finder tool here. Look up your address and check the notification that appears. The below example shows an address that doesn't receive standard mail delivery.
